After they were married in 1915 Jule and Bill farmed at Parkes for a short while, before moving to Orange where they operated a corner store for a number of years. Then they moved to Greystanes in 1923 where they set up a poultry farm and lived until Jule died in 1969. The Greystanes home went through a number of renovations and still stands today in the archtectural form it took on in the 1950's, set amongst the Sydney suburbia which has now spread around the old farm. The Greystanes home was the venue of the first major Broderick reunions held in the 1960's.
Home at Greystanes circa 1925 (Jule and the 4 older children?)
